WordSnap Privacy Policy

Information We Use

• Basic Google profile information if you sign in: name, email address, profile image/avatar, and Google user identifier as provided through authentication.
• Public or display name chosen by you.
• Scores, leaderboard entries, words played, attempts, ranks, and best scores.
• Snap Duel data, including duel codes, participant identifiers, round results, turn state, result review state, and rematch state.
• Daily Mission and streak data.
• Missing-word reports submitted for dictionary review.
• Push subscription data if you opt in, including notification preferences and delivery, click, and dismiss status.
• Analytics and device/browser metadata needed to understand usage, diagnose errors, and improve the app.
• Guest identifiers stored locally and/or in backend systems for gameplay continuity.
• Local storage for preferences, best score, display name, install prompts, and pending results.

How It Is Used

• Manage accounts and sessions when you sign in.
• Save progress, scores, display names, and gameplay preferences.
• Run Quick Play, Snap Duel, Daily Missions, streaks, and leaderboards.
• Send turn, result, reminder, or test notifications only when enabled.
• Prevent fraud or abuse and keep the app reliable.
• Improve the dictionary, app quality, and product experience.

Google Data

WordSnap uses basic Google profile information only for sign-in and account identity. WordSnap does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, Google files, or other Google services. WordSnap does not sell Google user data.

Data Sharing

WordSnap uses Supabase for authentication, database, and backend storage; Vercel for hosting and analytics; Google for optional Google sign-in; and browser or operating-system push infrastructure for notifications if you enable them. WordSnap does not sell personal data.

Notifications

WordSnap does not ask for notification permission on first load. Notifications are opt-in, and you can turn them off in WordSnap, browser, or Android settings.

Your Choices

You can play as a guest, choose whether to sign in with Google, and enable or disable notifications. Browser, Android, or device settings may also let you clear local data or block notifications.

Feedback And Sharing

Feedback opens your email app through mailto. Sharing uses your browser or device share sheet, or copies share text when native sharing is unavailable.

Data Sales

WordSnap does not sell personal data.

Account and data deletion

Signed-in users can request deletion of their WordSnap account and associated data on the WordSnap account deletion page, or by emailing yashshah.apps@gmail.com with the account email or relevant identifier.

Children

WordSnap is not intentionally directed to children under the applicable minimum age for online services. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
