How a duel works
Invite a friend with a shareable challenge link or select an eligible suggested rival from past matches. Snap Duel is turn-based, not real-time: each player completes each round on their own time before round scores reveal.
Three distinct multiplier rounds
- Round 1 — Classic Snap: Standard tile scoring and word length bonuses.
- Round 2 — Double Trouble:DL tiles double a tile's point value, while DW tiles double the entire word score.
- Round 3 — Triple Threat:TL tiles triple a tile's point value, while TW tiles triple the entire word score.
Fair starting conditions
Both players begin each round from the same seeded starting conditions. From there, each player's choices determine how their board evolves.
Score reveals and match lifecycle
Neither player sees the opponent's score while playing a round. Round scores reveal automatically after both players complete that round. Completing all three rounds determines the final champion and opens the option for a rematch.
Guest play and account continuity
Guest play is fully supported on your device. Optional Google sign-in saves active duels, turn history, and account identity across devices. Suggested rivals are eligible past opponents or active players.
